Basics for blown film extrusion

The online training provides comprehensive knowledge of the process engineering basics of blown film extrusion. Participants are given an overview of the structure and technical features of a blown film extrusion line and learn about the functions and technical processes on the individual machine modules.

The basic training consists of two parts in which we address the following topics:

• Raw materials production: From oil to granules
• Different applications and products: Food packaging films, films for industrial applications, special films for the hygiene and pharmaceutical industries
• Structure and operating principle of a blown film extrusion line in material flow direction
  • From the vacuum conveying system to the extruders
  • From the die head to the haul-off
  • From the haul-off to the winder

Training duration: 2 days, 4 hours each day

In detail, we address the following topics:

• Structure and operating principle of the MDO
• Operation and application of the MDO
• Process explanation for PET-replacement and breathable films

Basics of the W&H automation and assistance systems

In this online training you will learn the basics of W&H automation and assistance systems for extrusion lines.

In detail, we address the usage and functions of the following automation and assistance systems:

• EASY CHANGE for automatic adjustment of all relevant parameters for shortest format changes and restarts
• TURBOSTART for automatic stop and start-up of the extrusion line
• TURBOCLEAN for simplified material and job changes
• EASY SPLIT for simplified separation of the film web

Training duration: 3 hours

EASY2 Change

This online training course provides you with the basic knowledge and modules of the W&H EASY2 Change assistance system, especially for extrusion lines. EASY2 Change is an assistance system for the automatic adjustment of all relevant line parameters for the shortest possible format changes and restarts.

Depending on the modules integrated in your machine, we cover topics such as the use and operation of various automation systems:

• EASY Change
• Profile Booster
• Purge Assist
• Bubble detection
• Minimum quantity supply
• Granulate collection container with manual drain

Training duration: The duration of the training is machine-specific and depends on the scope of the integrated assistance and automation modules.
