As a leading name in the production of high-quality films on an eco-friendly basis, KRAUS FOLIE Sp. z o.o. is specialized on advanced polyolefin films. Looking back on a history of more than 40 years the family-owned company is producing on sixextrusion lines 24/7 throughout the whole year. All their machines are exclusively from W&H and are available in 3-, 5- and 9-layer technology.
Preventive, continuous maintenance made easy
To meet market challenges and minimize downtime as much as possible, the key for KRAUS FOLIE is preventive, continuous maintenance. Good spare parts management is therefore a relevant factor. The W&H Parts and Documentation Explorer (PDE) enables the customer to master spare parts management easily with a digital, comprehensive platform. The PDE acts as a first aid kit for customers, providing technical information for their W&H machine and allowing them to identify the current spare part they need in a variety of ways. There is for example the search by material number, bill of materials, drawing, description or electrical component identifier.
Timo Booij, maintenance manager at KRAUS FOLIE, reports: “There is a functionality to see where parts are used. This serves as a basis to verify whether we need to order spare parts and increase our stock.”
Highly valued partnership with W&H

The goal is to make customers’ lives easier. That’s why the PDE system is constantly improved, like the interactive circuit diagram, to close the gap between the mechanical and electrical world. It is no longer necessary to spend time searching through physical drawings.
It is just a simple online data check. Besides that, it is always possible to contact the spare parts representative or IDC in order to determine where the spare part is located or to get help finding it in the PDE. This means shorter downtimes and a better preparation for maintenance.
