Willi Müller, Director
Mr. Müller, please introduce yourself and your region
On April 23, 1974, WINDMOELLER & HOELSCHER DO BRASIL LTDA was registered in the city of Diadema, State of São Paulo, Brazil. This was the first W&H Group company in Latin America. The factory in Brazil mainly produced machines for the woven industry. In 2009, after 35 years of operation, the management decided to discontinue local machine manufacturing and to strengthen our sales and service activities in the region. Today in Latin America we have W&H offices in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Chile, as well as 4 sales agencies in different countries. In total, the Latin American hub employs around 40 people.
My personal story with W&H began in 2002, when I started at the W&H headquarters in Lengerich, Germany, where I was responsible for sales in Latin America. Five years later, in 2007, I came to Brazil as Managing Director. With me came my family: my wife, two daughters, a son, two dogs and two shipping containers.
